Post Cards scenes of Thanksgiving. 

I really do enjoy Thanksgiving and what it represents

to our Great Country.

May we NOT forget those who came over

to create a nation that could worship

GOD as they chose.

Those early American Pilgrims paved the

way for what we so enjoy today.

~FALL~ It's In the AIR

A GOOD Saturday Morning to YOU my blogging friends!

Here In South East Michigan it OFFICIALLY feels like FALL!

The temps have dropped, coats are coming out of closets, sweaters and jean are the norm.

As I drive down our neighborhood trees are AGLOW in yellows, oranges, corals and firey reds...with leaves being blown in the wind.

 A little further down the road our loacl CIDER Mills is open for Fall business of sweet apple cider and freshly made cinnamon donuts, that melt in your mouth, YUM!

Going out a little further, as you look around the rolling expanse, you can see pumpkin patches with their signs PUMPKINS for Sale...yep those are signs of FALL here in Michigan.

I really do LOVE where we are located...close enough for shopping yet out far enough that we feel like we are in the middle of a rural landscape..allbeit we live in a sub-division.

So of course that means, the soon approaching night of Halloween will be upon us.
 Doncha just LOVE those darling little sweeties all dressed, waddling through piles of clothing, greeting you with *trick or treat* ...it SOON will soon be here!

Yep Fall, it's in the air!

SHARING ~ Victorian Post Cards of Years Gone By

I have something I wanted to share with YOU, my blogging friends!

On a recent visit to a dear friend of mines home, who is 81 years young...she asked, "Would you like to see my Mother's Vintage Postcard Collection?" YES!!!, I squealed with delight. You know that when she brought me out her mother's box of cards and a scrapebook of vintage calling cards...it was then I knew I had DIED and really gone to Victorian Heaven! lol As my friend and another dear friend visited...I began to Ouuuuu and Ahhhh over this gorgeous collection. I nearly lost myself for over an hour. Never in my LIFE had I seen anything quick as vast as these wonderful Images of the Past.

Mary's mother loved recieving Post Cards. Family and friends willingly oblidge her and a that was the beginning of wonderful collection in the early 1900's. Mary of course, received these wonderful images when her mother passed on and had saved them. She was so sweet and consented to allow me to pick some Post Cards that I could take home for scanning and keeping in my personal files.

Today I finally figured out how to download these by scanning them on my computer. But for those who are like me, and so appreciate it when others share cherished images like these, I wanted to share these with you. From time to time, I plan on sharing more of these delightful cards with you.

Vintage Valentines Day Clip Art

I must admit I love the Victorian Era! Most of all, I appreciate their wonderful art. I have found many sights that share these wonderful clip art subject. The details, colors and subject matter just can't be surpassed today. I especially love children depited along with anything roses. I thought I pull out a number Valentines Day art and share some of my favorites with you.
