***MERRY CHRISTMAS*** Sharing my Pink Parlor

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
I was tweeking my *Parlor* today and
decided to share some pictures with you!
My creche, was given to me many years ago
by my momma.  I love it so and pull
it out most every year.  This year is was
originally in my tree...but my daughter
and hubby nixed that...lol.
So I created a beautiful scene with my angles...
singing the glories of Christ's birth!
and of course this wonderful passage from Luke
came to mind.

Luke 2:11-14

King James Version (KJV)

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you;
Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,
lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel
a multitude of the heavenly host praising God,
 and saying,
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men.
What a joyous occasion we are priveledged to
celebrate every year.  The birth of the one who
came to Save you and me!

Would you like to see more of my *pink* parlor?
This is MY room.
I LOVE it so much that
I often will take my tea into this room and sit.

So let the tour begin...
I have given you, hopefully a view from all angles
in this room!

Then of course, I'm the queen of vignettes...

Actually, I don't take a lot of the blingy goodies
out cuz I just LOVE looking at them.
Does anyone else find that they do this?
Since this room is more of a pass through room
and is not used much
I guess I can make up my own rules!

I am making this my last post of the year!
I do thank those of you who follow me
and are such sweetie to post me comments!
You will never KNOW how much your
friendship has meant to me this past year!
Isn't blogging an amazing tool
to connect with others? I sure
think so!

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone
and a
BLESSED
New Year!!!

***CHRISTMAS AT MY HOUSE***

Hi Sweet Friends!

How are you all doing?
Are you ready yet for Christmas?

I have been sick with a cold for the
past week.  Yesterday I finally turned a corner.
I guess when that happens you have to *let go*
of everything you thought you were gonna
do and just be happy with things as they are.
I can honestly say that I did not decorated as much as I usually
do.  But you know what? It really is okay.
On to the sharring...
I do a more traditional themed of reds and golds
in my family living and kitchen areas...
With my *parlor* and *entry* this year
done up in whites and pinks.

I showed a picture last week of my Mantel...well
I did end up over at Hobby Lobby and got some
GREAT ribbon.  I made a few bows to add to my
greenery and gold bows for the red candles.
I am really satisfied with how this all came together.

Our tree was actually up for 2 weeks but because
of family being here, and both hubs and
I being sick...well finally on Monday we
pulled out the ornies and got er done.
This was how THEY wanted it to look...
me...well I'd have added more ribbon and
filler...but you know what...I would rather
they be happy with it..and they were.

Pictures just dont do it justice!!!
We have red and gold balls all throughout
with a mix n match of other
shiney ornies...it really is so pretty
at night with very little light in the room.
My hubby LOVEs, yes LOVEs Christmas
time and MUST have to tree close so
he can see it.  Its just his thang...lol.

I am showing you a couple of vingettes below that
are in my family room.

PINK Entry!

This is my 4ft White Christmas tree that hubby
got me a few years back.  I had been setting it
up on a table in the living room but this
year decided to add it to the table in my entry.
I tried to turn this into a pretty, winter wonderland.

I added some of my sweet lil Snowmen
that I collect to this area as they fit in sooooo
well!

Well, that's pretty much what I am going to
share with ya today.
I do have more displays and areas that I have done
but I need to get myself a shower
and off to paint again today...
I'm going over and finishing up my
friends Store window for her!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope you are enjoying this wonderful time of the year.
Please don't for get...
JESUS is the REASON!

Be Blessed,
Lorena

*****CELEBRATING***** 20 Years of Blessings*****Family Time...so precious!

Greetings Friends!!!

Today my hubby and I are celebrating my daughters
20th Birthday!  Hard to believe how quickly
the years have gone by!   To think of what
we would have missed if GOD hadn't chosen our
Michaela to be a part of our family...
GOD really knew what he was doing as he has
blessed us more than we could ever thank him for.
She is such a spark plug in our life and a joy to all who know her!
I just thinking she is BEAUTIFUL...
not just on the outside,
but
the inside as well!
So proud of you my girl!

Also, I had the JOY of having my parents visit
us just after the Thanksgiving Holiday.  They went
to South Carolina, where my dad's family is and
stopped by the Big D on their way home.
We so enjoyed their visit and miss them
so much already.  Glad they made it
safely back to the Greater Seattle area!
The above picture is of my daughter and
her 3 2nd Cuz's.  They LOVE her to pieces!

During my parents stay, my hubby and I
also had the privaledge of hosting his brother,
sis-in-law, nephew, his wife and 2 boys and
neice, hubby and their darling son.
We shared a beautiful christmas pagent
at our church Northridge, call the GLORY of Christmas.
Then we came back for spaghetti and family time
to celebrate birthdays.
My daddy's birthday is tomorow.  I
wanted to make sure we didn't forget his 81st!
I sure love this picture!
Don't you think my momma and daddy look young
for 81 and 75? I do!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Be Blessed!

***Life Just Happens!***The CHRISTMAS Preparations are on!***

Hello to all my sweet Followers and Friends.

Oh I am really so remiss...I did plan to come in and
wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving last week...but once again
my LIFE got in the way.

The Sunday before Thanksgiving I broke off
a huge piece of a tooth...and by Tuesday it was throbbing!!!
Well...I marched over to my dentist because I knew I
needed drugs to get me through till my appointment I had
on Black Friday.  That appointment was originally for a crown prep and
ended up being a Temporary fix for a root canal.
Which I am now seeing an Endodentist for...ugh!
Needless to say my mouth has been bothering
me ever since and I have had to trudge along.
Why at the times when I need to be well, do I seem to
get infections? This is a struggle I have lived with for
so long, that at times it catches up with me and just gets me down.
In this midst of this life happens...
painting, glittering like crazy to finish up my
Christmas goodies...
hosting Thanksgivingfor 10 of us...
a French Door Installation...
Painting the Windows at Sweet Chateau...
Mom and Dad arriving today and
trying to decorating my home for the
Christmas Season.
SEE...I told ya...life happens...lol
Before I start...
I wanted to share with you a few cute pix of my
sweet companions...Tiger and Chloe!
They certainly bring me JOY in the midst
of struggles.
Tiger looks like a King on his perch!
This is how Chloe looked sitting beside me,
purring her heart out...just before I got up to
go into our office and write this post!
Could'nt resist...its too precious!

Yesterday was a WET day here in the Metro D...
I finally got over to my friends shop in Belleville.
She is close to opening and
weve been trying to coordinate painting her
window a number of times.
SO I finally started yesterday, painting on her Shoppe windows.
Here's a sneak peak of what I've done so far.
This is a bay window...she has two of these in front and
I will be painting them both the same on the inside.
Then, weather permitting I will be painting
the outside as well.
I really had a hard time getting a good picture...
As you can see I have my painted my roses,
fluffy hydrageas and white wisteria.
This was quite a challenge as I could not
move my canvas around like I would with an
item I paint that is smaller.
But Victoria is Happy with it
so...
I am happy!

I also thought you might like a peek at my Mantle all
done up for the Holidays!
I am close to being all done...well
all except our Blue Dining Room.
We have a family event on Saturday so I
decided to hold off in there until the following week.
I'm happy with how it turned out...but have
some tweeking I'd like to do...like
some larger ribbon and bows on the greens and
maybe something on my candles.
Stay tuned..more to come after my
parents return home next week!

Until then...thanks for stopping!
I love your comments!

Be Blessed!

PINK/RED Vintage Ornament Wreath ***etsy Shop Sale***

Hi My Sweet Friends!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I have a couple of things I wanted to share with you!
On Thursday, I was finally motivated to get this
beautiful Vintage Ornie Wreath started.
This has been brewing in my head for over a year!
I just needed a reason to get this finished.
I had fun using a mix of vintage and a few newer
ornaments using pinks, reads and some silver
thrown in.  I also added a fun vintage Christmas
corsage that had darling bells hanging down.  That
inpsired me to add some cute bells all over this...
do you see them?

I will be either listing this in my etsy shop
or
hopefully in at *Sweet Chateau*
when it opens in the next few week.

***THANK YOU***...Painting PINK Roses

Dearest Bloggy Friends!

I AM SOOOO BLESSED!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the many
encouraging and sweet responses to my last post.
You have no idea how uplifted I was!
I KNOW I can count out you sweet bloggy friends to
come to my aid in a time of emotional need!
THANK YOU!

So...as many of you know I paint..Pink Roses!
Well most of the time they are pink...lol

Over the past few years with *life* sorta getting the
best of me, painting was put more on a backburner.  Oh
I still painted but not like I had done in years before.

Then last week a sweet bloggy friend wrote me the sweetest
note.  She had won a giveaway last year, and was sharing with me how
her granddaughter loved a Snowcone Ornie I had sent.
But what she also wrote and said to me that stuck was,
"You need to paint more of your Pretty Roses".
Brenda of Brushed by an Angel, if you see this,
those words have echoed in my brain ever since!
Thank you for that!

So guess what?
I have been back to painting more roses.
Even yesterday when I had another headache I
was able to go to that place in my mind and Paint Roses.
A sweet peaceful calm came over me and
it made me realized that the Lord sent that
message to me.

Here are some roses that I just painted...even in my fog!

So I will hopefully be painting more PINK Roses!

Be Blessed!
