Snagged Some Great Goodies Thrifting!

Good Monday Everyone!

Can you believe that this is the last Monday in September?
Gosh...what has happened to summer?

Today I had to go grocery shopping...ugh.
But...I took a slight detour and ended up in one of
my favorite thrifty places I shop before I made it
to the grocery store.  This thrifting place seems to
have some of the best finds..I think.
I just had to share what I snagged there today with you.
wanna see?
Purty ribbon both for $1.20

This sweet all hand crocheted runner...loving the pink
with the lacy edging.....80cents..yes! that is correct!

Then I spied 4 more sweet lil doilies...my weakness,
they ranged between .40-80 cents each.
SUCH a deal!!!

Now, I have shopped at thrift stores since I was a little girl.
And I am never one to pass by a great name brand item,
in the right color and right size,
CHICOS Sweater...$3.80...looks brand new and its
hard to tell but it is the prettiest shade of green
that I love to wear!

My heart just SANG though, when I saw these
red pumps.  I have been looking quite some time for
a low healed pair of RED pumps.  I LOVE red!
These look brand new...no wear on the bottom
and they were the right size...
$7.60...can you believe that?

I don't know about you...but there are times that I shop
and really believe that GOD gives me these special little
goodies.  Do I need them?
no...
but I know HE delights in those who delight in Him!

What a fun way to start my week.

Hope yours is a great one!

Be Blessed,
Lorena

Thrifting Find ~~~ Bell Shaped Cloche~~~ But why does it have a hole on top?

Hi Sweet Friends!

Well after a horrid week of headaches and no
energy...today I awoke to jumping out
of bed and racing around to get things done.
When I get headaches they just about do me in...
allergies are the worst and here in
Michigan the molds are what get me.
So last week was a blaaaaa week for me!
We have been getting cooler temps and some
frost...so hopefully soon this will cease.

Okay,
so...I did get out last week and went to one
of my favorite thrifting places.
I found this unqiue Bell Shaped Cloche.
But am baffled because it has a
whole up the center.
Does anyone out there who just may happen
to read my blog...
have any idea why or what it is
I found?
It was a steal at $2.99

See you can see that the glass is quite thick
on top...

I'd certainly love to hear from anyone who may
have an idea of what I found!

Many thanks!
Be Blessed,
Lorena

~~~Recent Thrifting FINDS~~~
Hey Sweet Chic Friends!
It's that thrill of the hunt!
A giddy feeling you get when you spy that
oh so wonderful treasure...
YOU MUST HAVE!!!
Yep, I think many of us can relate to this!
I love seeing other bloggers share their
many treasured finds!
Would you like to see some recent treasures
I have found?
I collect vintage Purses and this one reeeeeally caught my eye!
Some creative person took a lovely purse and made it even
better...if you look close, a needle point piece
has been overlayed on top of the front side of this purse...
then it was embellished with velvet leaves and really
cool bead work! Snagged this jewel for $5!!!
LOOK at this shelf!!!!
I am seeing this all done up in creamy whites!
A real steal...$5
Then I spied these ceramic roses on a wire!
NEVER have I seen anything like these before...hmmm
I have loads of ideas of how these can be used!
Of course, you all know I have a *thang* for roses.
These papered style roses were all the rage in the late 80's
and I have seen many in pinks but have not seen them in blues...
but I knew just what I'd do with these pretties!
steal....99c
LOVE, LUV, LURVE the shape of this jar!
Sweetie for $3!!!
See, I have already put it to good usage!
I have so many unwound ribbons and need a place to put them
so I can see them...you know I am soooooo visual.
Gotta have my pretty things so I can see them! lol
So... remember the blue roses?
I added a little tulle and then hung it from the top
of my lovely dresser mirror!
Loving how it looks now!
There you have it...isn't this fun?
I sure thinks so!
Thanks for stopping by!
Tea Time Tuesday ~ A Visit to Treasure Mart~
Good Morning to my Tea Loving Bloggers!
I am so excited to share this week with you some
*found* treasures!
But first,
please be sure to check out my left side bar for
all the TEA LINKS happening in blogland.  My
Okay, on to the good stuff.
Last week, 2 of my dear friends and I FINALLY
got our schedules coordinated so we could do
lunch and *TREASURE Mart*.
If you live near Ann Arbor, Michigan then you
probably know about this wonderful consignment
shop.  But this is NOT your ordinary shop...no sireeee.
This is a 3 story, turn of the century home, loaded
with just about anything vintage you could
ever dream about.  What treasure you unearth
is totally up to what you collect, are looking for or
whatever suits your fancy.
 A MUST SEE, IF YOU ARE EVER IN THIS AREA!
Moi...well I went looking for teacups and plates....
but they had to have ROSES!!!
So for Tuesdays sharing I found a lovely
English Bone China Tea Cup, called
Princess House.  I fell in LOVE with
the dainty roses all over!
And,
my avacado, cucumber, humus sammy
 tasted so much better yesterday eating
off my pretty plate and sipping lemonde from
my new tea cup!
LOOK AT THOSE ROSES!!!
Look at the GORG plates
I found...and each was $3...could NOT pass them up at
that price.  One is Bavarian the other is German! Snagged
those plates right up, I did.  The smaller one is
handpainted and was $2.  Steals!
But wait!!!
I found a another treasure that I
could add to my
pottery collection.  I loved this shape and color and
snagged it for $4!!!
pretty huh?
Then there's more...my dear friend Susie,
gave me these 2 metal votive
Tea Cups...not sure yet what I will
do with them..but they sure are cute
and as you know they are right
up my alley being tea related!
I had so much fun that day.  We all
agreed we needed to do this more often..hmmmm
Thanks for stopping by and sharing with
me and my finds!  I am hoping to being able
to visit the many Tea Post out thar as I can!
Happy Tea!
Sharing and Creatin!
Hey thar Sweet Bloggy Friends!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today.
I found 2 of the most beautiful handpainted plates
on Saturday when a sweet
friend and I visited a Large Antique Mall in
Northville, MI.
Best thing of all, I paid $4.00 total for them both!!!
I just can't resist an handpainted plate!
Then I have been tackling a looooong list of crafting projects in
varying stages...so many unfinished
ideas are now becoming a reality!
Do any of your creative peeps do this? I will
go in a see them all ready to be worked on...
and....then I leave!  Well, I am so glad that
dry spells are not permanent!
Would you like to see a few things I finally finished?
I so charmed by this sweet praying lil figurine!
but... for about a year she remained on my shelf...
I did have an idea tho.
My idea: A sweet Childs prayer I learned 50+ years ago.
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
That lil figurine and prayer became what you see,
that was my idea! yea!
Then  on Tuesday I shared a sweet Tea cozy that my sis gifted me
many, many years ago...
well I have a stack of
cozies waiting for me to make..
this was the first
one I tackled and I am so happy with how it turned out.
This is such a purty creamy 2 toned textured fabric that I knew
would work well with my cozy!
I then fashion a sweet rosy pin to add onto the front
 and
whaaaaalaaaaa!
Creamy Cozy Perfection!
Oh and I had so share some current Chloe
pix...she spends many hours of her day in our
family room, snoozing, purring and talking with us
on my covered coffee table.
So if you talk to this sweetie...she turns and talks to ya
until ya just have to pet her!
My lovey dovey girl!
Thanks again for stopping by!
A Treasure Hunt ~ Sharing Found Goodies
Hello Bloggy Friends!
I know so many of you out there are like me.
You loooooove the thrill of a treasure hunt!
Well, my sweet friend Susie, who is a kindred spirit and is like
a big sister to me, called me up on Tuesday to see
if I'd Like to meet at Starbucks...
well, my wheels were turning cause I had left some
pillows, I mentioned in another post, at my
favorite thrifting place.  So I called her back and
we changed our plans. Now, we still got our
Starbucks fix, but were off for our
treasure hunt!
It did NOT disappoint me in the least!
Do ya want to see what I got?   Okay, here goes!
Aren't these sweet? These are Martha Stewart Pillows...a steal at $3 each!
Here's 3 bags of GORGEOUS Laces, that I can't wait to go through!
All 3 bags cost a total of $4!!! Amazing huh?
One can NEVER have too many PRETTY Boxes to
store treasures in!
Oh and I just couldn't pass this by...it needs a little sprucing,
but will be better in no time! $2 is well worth a little time
to make it shine!
I never pass up a pretty tray! This has beautiful edging!
I have an idea for this one...stay tuned.  Then I
found some sweet lil bling while digging through a
large tub of jewelry!
I am pretty sure that is a NEW plate of Old Chintz, I paid
$5 but feel it was worth it...this is larger so I am assuming
it's probably a cake plate!
There are 2 of these plates, and the picture does not
show their amazing tealy, aqua color with bits of splattering.
Very unusual and I have an idea for these with some
of my white and aqua roses!
And last but surely NOT least, this sweet white
hankie with pretty pink edging...only 99c!
Thanks so much for visiting with me today
and allowing me to share some FUN
found treasures! I can't wait to get going on
some of the projects I have in mind for them!
Hopefully I will remember to do a
Show N Tell
with I am finished...
would you like that?
Have a blessed day!
Mother's Day A Coming!
Hey there friends!
If  the advertisements on TV haven't warned you
then I will...Sunday is Mother's Day!
A special day to honor our mom's.
You know, those ladies who changed our
diapers, fed us, stayed up to
quiet our fears and loved
us through so many ups/downs
in our lives.
As I always seem to do...Mother's Day
creeps upon me and then its
OH NO...what am I gonna do?
Does this happen to you too?
Today I thought I'd go shopping..but
as I was a shopping my mind kicked in.
Lorena, I says to myself...your momma loves
your goodies you make her...why
doncha send her something you've done
up lately?  Self, I says, GOOD IDEA!!!
So when I got home I got to work
and thought you'd enjoy seeing what I came up with.
Now my momma does visit my blog, quietly but
then its not too often so I am hoping
she doesn't see this post til afterwards! lol
My mom love Roses, but then again a lady
named ROSE would just have too...
and purple too...
This sweet Girly says...A Token of Affection
for you on Mother's Day
I made a special set of my PUSH PINS in purples
and a PINK Magnet Rose for moms
PINK Rose Kitchen!
Then...a Purple Pin and Sweet Clip on Earring
I made...just special for her.
What do ya think?
Then I finished up a few more sets of PUSH PINS,
so that I could get those listed in my etsy
store along with a vintage
CAKE SAVER all done up in PINKS!
Thanks for visiting and your comments.
And be sure to wish someone a
HAPPY MOTHER's DAY!
