Some VERY belated Thank Yous

Hi blogging friends,
Why is it..that I cannot seem to keep up with my life.

Does anyone feel that way during the winter?

I had many dear sweet blogging and chat

groups friends bestow me with some lovely gifts

during the holidays.  I took pictues but didn't

get any posted. What IS my problem? The older

I get, the less I can mentally do as much as I used too.

It is very frustrating and then I forget! UGH! lol

So,

I thought I'd share them with you, a little late,these sweet
goodies I recieved with a HUGE Thank You!

My sweet friend Katie of Katies Tea Roses
sent this darling mitten she made and then added
gorgeous SRE (silk ribbon embroidry) handwork on to it.
I so wish I could do this!

Then my dear friend Judy of Vintage to Chic

sent me a beautifully handpainted Tear Drop Ornie, Lovely

teacup in my Living Room Colors and darling

childs shoe mold! I love them all!

Another dear friend, Ele of A Bit of PINK Heaven sent me

combined birthday/Christmas gifts.  A hand

beaded cross and some gorgeous tags she makes!

Lucky me!

My dear sweet Bertie of Aunt May's Cottage sent me

a gorgeous Victorian Fan, Pretty Pin, vintage

ribbon and an Amazing Card.  She knew I had a special

spot on my wall for this fan!

Then my dear friend Karen of Second Hand Rose

sent me a lovely cupcake confection you put in a bath, GODIVA

chocolates, nee I say more.  But I could not resist

the sweetest paper she wrapped everything in..

so I took a picture for you to see.

Then in my Special group of ladies I have gotten to know

from ebay did a Christmas swap.  My goodies came

for such a special lady.  Shirl of Shirls Rose Cottage was

my swap partner!

Oh she wrapped my presents so pretty!

And I LOVED it all.  Made so special for me!

This tussies has a sweet lil red bird..and Oh its just too pretty!

Shirl is also another friend who does SRE (silk ribbon embroidry)

and her work is amazing.  She made this felt dove

and it has such bling!!!

Oh and some sweet treats too!

Ladies...each of you means so much to me!

I treasure your friendship and am thankful

to God that you are in my life!

Welcome to my blog friends!

I decided to take some pictures of things I hadn't yet caught

before everything gets put back into boxes

and stored for another year.

Now I am one of those people who LOVE my Christmas

and decorations usually stay up way past the middle of January.

I do not put it all away because not only do I enjoy the

lighted Christmas trees, but I have a hubby who does

as well.

Hope you enjoy..some are pink and some are

well...I guess I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

HAPPY 2010!!!

WOW, can it really be true..another year has seemed

to slip by so fast? Do you feel that way too?

What a year this has been.

  I am sure like most of you I do a bit of introspection and reflect on what the past year has brought.  Yesterday it seemed like I was just holding my tiny premie baby and here it is...18 years later and she will graduate in June. How can this be?

Another year of leaning on the Lord, resting in His perfect plan and knowing in my weakness, He is making me strong.  I am praying for a miracle job for my hubby in 2010. 

And I want to make sure that I thank all of you who have so wonderfully prayed and upheld me and encourage me during this very difficult time.

What a blessing each of you have been to me.

I am also thankful for New and Old blogging friends I have met over the past few years I have been blogging.  Each of you have encouraged, inspired and lifted my spirits over and over again.  So many generous and sweet people I could never in my wildest dreams have imagine that a place like the internet or a blog could connect me to.

I am indeed blessed by each of you!

FUN Sharing of our Kitties Christmas Day

Hi Sweet Friends!

Hope you all had a Wonderful time with family

during Christmas.

I took a few days off of blogging and the computer just

to rest and be with family.  We have had a good time and

enjoyeded a few fun activities with some friends.

This was how our tree looked Christmas morning brimming

with love goodies for hubby, daughter and myself.

I must admit, I am spoiled! My hubby

loves giving...its a gift that he has and even

though times have been hard, he still wanted to give.

Makes me love him so...

I also could NOT resist showing you some fun pictures.

This year hubby made sure all 3 of our kitties got a gift

CATNIP toys!!! YUM

They go WILD over it. We took many pictures of there

FUN.  It is amazing what affect this herb has on cats.

We laughed quite a bit too.

It truely is a RARE moment to capture all 3 within such

close proximity.  They of course, were checking

out each other's CATNIP toy.

Chloe also fell in love with a PEACOCK feather.  She

would go sit by it, indicating she wanted us to play with her.

The 3 kitties, Tiger, Chloe and Punkin all got their toys before

we opened our gifts.  How much fun it is to see them

frolicking and so playful!

YUMMMY!!! lol

PINK Saturday

Welcome to PINK Saturday!

Today we were asked to share a Christmas Tradition with you.

For our family Christmas is the CELEBRATION

of Jesus' birth.  HE is the Reason we celebrate because

he IS Gods gift to mankind.  Thus, the reason we give

gifts to each other.

When my daughter was quite tiny we wanted to make sure that

our time of opening presents began with the reading of the 1st

Christmas.

I found this darling POP out page book that was unique and

grabbed my little ones attention.  She is now 18 and

we will continue to read this before we open our gifts.

I hope this will be a tradition that she passes on

to her own family when she has them.

Sharing More Cute Kitty Pictures!

The animal lover in me enjoys it when our

4 legged cuties pose or sleep or just about any ole

thing they do touches a soft spot in me.

Chloe...LIKES this toy!!!

The patio is there only outdoor domain that we let them enjoy!

They are, for the most part indoor kitties who

love some fresh air once in a while.

AWE....dad's lap..my FAV!!!

Punkin finally left so I could snuggle with dad.

They are just so darn cute!

Sharing a FEW Christmas Memories

Hi Friends!

I'd like to share a couple of very special Christmas goodies I

have that have deep sentimental meaning to them.

First...this darling quad of ANGELS that spell out NOEL.

These sweet lil guys were found in a drawer 10 years ago

when we were cleaning out my hubby's family home.

We lost my dear MIL in 1994 and 2 years later my hubby's

dad.  They lived a very simple life without a lot

of things.  So when I found these and was told

to keep them...I didn't ask twice!

So true story...2 years ago I was cleaning and purging,

BIG time...and last year when I went to find these

sweet angel..I COULD NOT find them anywhere.

I feared that in my haste I had put them in a box

to be donated..but I knew they meant more to me and

I just COULDNT have done that, right?

FOUND...this year when I brought out my Creche from my

momma, wrapped up in a bag these all fell out!

I SHREAKED as these were LONG lost treasures and they

were FOUND.

I quickly took them upstairs to my studio and glued them to this sweet box.

I fixed them good and now will NEVER loose them again! lol

This sweet ornament was gifted me too many

years ago that I cannot remember.  But it came from my

now 95 year old grams.

She was so very GREEN before that term was even coined!

It was an old greeting card that she re-used.  She glued toothpicks

and glitter to create a sweet and charming

treasured ornament!

But...most important...she wrote...
